DAY 15 SOME THINGS TO MAKE YOU LAUGH

Yesterday Glen missed a camino sign and walked a mile and a half when he saw this.

Danger Explosives

Military Zone

Do not go off the road

He turned around and went back 😉

Sometimes I think one of the things I did right is the way I packed my backpack. Everything is in its own little stuff sack (toiletries, clothes, electronics, misc). So every night I get them all out and lay them side by side like little Lilliputian sleeping bags.

At least I know where everything is.

Sometimes a Damm beer tastes good after a long day of walking.

Expect analog doors and locks

Buon Camino!

I am me, a person with love for others, a passion to be creative, and a desire to be a cheerleader for others. I’m a wife, a mommy, and a grandma (you can call me by my grandma name “Lady M”). I’m on a search to grow and connect more fully with God. I didn’t grow up particularly church, married a man who had, and we raised our three daughters in the church. I found a place to belong in the church and somehow discerned a call to go to seminary. I received a Masters of Arts and Religious Communication (MARC). I went on to become ordained as a deacon in the United Methodist Church and served in media ministry and Christian education. As clergy I found that I didn’t have a place to belong in the church so I left the United Methodist Church in 2010. I still believe and I’m still on a quest to draw closer to God. And I’m going to walk the Camino de Santiago.

  1. Does that mean Glen walked 23 miles yesterday? Wow.
Love the little “Lilliputian sleeping sacks”. I may rearrange my drawers that way.
Let’s hear it for analog! And flip phones 🙂
Lots of love to you both!

  2. Oooh- I bet that missed sign hurt!
With all those little sacs I would still be shuffling through them trying to find my stuff. I’d have to label them too
But now I know who to consult next time I’m packing
Safe travels. Prayers are with you
